Help! My Headset Audio is Fluctuating After a Windows Update

I recently completed a Windows update, and now I'm having issues with my headset audio. Before the update, everything worked perfectly, but now the only way to get sound through my headset is by selecting 'headphones'. The problem is that the volume keeps fluctuating between high and low, which is really frustrating. I used to have the SteelSeries option selected, and the sound quality was great without any issues. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the drivers and even had a live chat with Windows support, who performed an in-place update, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. If anyone has a solution, I'd really appreciate your help—this is driving me nuts!

It sounds like you'll need to check the audio drivers for your motherboard. Can you let us know the brand and model of your motherboard? That way, I can help you find the right drivers on the manufacturer's website.
