I recently upgraded my Samsung NP550XDA laptop by adding a second RAM stick, but I started experiencing screen freezes. To troubleshoot, I ran a memory test using Memtester in Linux. Unfortunately, during the test, my laptop froze completely, and now it won't display anything – it just keeps turning on and off without stopping. I've already tried switching the RAM slots and reverting to the original RAM that was working fine before this issue. What can I do to resolve this?

It sounds like the memory test might have ended up stressing the bad RAM to the extent that it won't boot anymore. What RAM are you using currently? It's possible the OEM RAM was already faulty.
Try testing the new RAM by itself. Remove all other RAM and run Memtest on the new module to see if it’s the cause of the problem.
If the laptop won’t boot, you could try removing the original RAM and the battery, then press and hold the power button for a bit. After that, just put back the original RAM and see if that works.
It’s crucial to know the specifications of the RAM sticks. Are they identical or different? Maybe you accidentally damaged the RAM socket during installation. Make sure your laptop was completely powered down, including removing the battery while switching the RAM.
