Help! My PC Won’t Boot After Enabling Secure Boot

I'm working with a Ryzen 3600x CPU, B450-A Pro Max motherboard, and I've got both an NVMe SSD and regular SSD along with a hard drive. The OS is on the NVMe SSD, but I think it might be a legacy partition instead of GPT, which is what secure boot needs.

Currently, I'm using a dedicated GPU (a 2080 Super) but I've tried both HDMI and DP connections and still no display. I even went as far as to test a GTX 970, but that didn't work either. As a last resort, I booted into Linux via USB without any drives attached, but I still got nothing.

I can't enter BIOS at all; I've swapped GPUs and disconnected everything else, and no luck on getting an image from anything. Is my motherboard fried? Do I need a CPU with integrated graphics just to access BIOS and disable secure boot? I really hope I don't have to buy a new motherboard, but at this point, it might be cheaper than paying a technician for repairs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you're in a tough spot. I was in a similar situation and ended up removing my graphics card and trying to boot with integrated graphics, but that wasn't an option for me either since my CPU didn't have it. Could be the same for you!

You might want to try clearing the CMOS. This can often reset the BIOS settings to default and might help get things back on track. Just look up some guides on how to do it for your specific motherboard. Good luck!

I gave that a shot, but I reset both the CMOS and tried the JBAT1 method, and unfortunately, nothing happened. It's getting a bit frustrating!

Honestly, if none of the usual tricks are working, it might be worth checking with another CPU or just seeking out a good technician. Sometimes these motherboard issues can lead down a rabbit hole that's tough to solve solo. Hope you can get it sorted without too much hassle!

Thanks for the advice! I'm holding off on a new motherboard for now and seeing if I can get into BIOS somehow.
