I've been running two Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSDs on my Asus TUF Gaming B650 Plus WiFi 6E motherboard without any issues. My setup has the 1TB SSD in the M.2_1 slot with Ubuntu and GRUB, and the 2TB SSD in the M.2_2 slot for Windows. However, after installing the latest security update KB5077181, my system fails at POST and the BIOS doesn't recognize the M.2_2 slot anymore. This setup worked perfectly for three months, and I'm looking for ideas or solutions before I consider taking my PC back to the store. I really don't want to disassemble my PC. Any help would be appreciated!

Before making any changes, it's always smart to ensure your data is backed up, especially when tampering with BIOS settings or your drive setup. Just a heads up to avoid any data loss!
Have you tried power cycling your PC? Unplug the power cable from the back of the PSU, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in. I've had similar problems with Windows 11 where my drives just wouldn't be detected until I did a power cycle. It might just bring that M.2_2 slot back to life!

I did the power cycle, but it didn't help. I'm looking for other solutions too.
