I've been trying to install Windows 10 on my friend's SSD after we wiped everything clean because it wasn't working well before. We're using a USB stick for the installation, but we keep hitting roadblocks. Initially, we got an error saying 'Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk.' So, I disabled CSM in the BIOS, converted the SSD to GPT, and enabled secure boot in UEFI mode, which allowed us to start the installation. However, after the install, it won't boot into Windows; it just takes us back to the BIOS. If we enable CSM again, the SSD shows up but still won't boot. I tried fixing the boot entry with bcdboot, which said it was successful, but we still can't find the SSD or EFI bootloader in the BIOS—only the USB stick. Even when we installed with CSM disabled, it gives a bluescreen about winloader.exe not being found. The ISO works fine for the HDD, though. We're dealing with an Asus motherboard, and I'm at a loss here. Any ideas?

It sounds like Ventoy might be part of the issue. Try using the Windows Media Creation Tool to directly create a bootable USB instead. This could help avoid problems that Ventoy is causing, especially since it seems to work fine when installing on the HDD.

But why does it work on the HDD with Ventoy then?
