I'm trying to join my old Windows XP PC to a modern domain, but I'm running into an error that says 'Incorrect parameter.' I'm really having trouble with this and could use some guidance on how to proceed. Is this even feasible today?

Just a heads-up, it’s not worth trying to make it work. Just take it as a sign to upgrade to something more modern and supported.
If your domain has been upgraded to Server 2019 or newer, you're going to have a tough time getting that XP box to connect. It's probably better to keep it as a standalone machine rather than trying to link it to a current domain.
I mean, if you somehow make it work, you should let us know! I'd love to see someone upgrade a bunch of Windows 95 machines to XP if this magically works for you.
Honestly, getting a Windows XP machine to join a current Active Directory domain is pretty tricky. Modern security settings have changed so much that XP is just not compatible anymore. Sure, you could tweak a lot of legacy settings like NTLMv1, but that's not safe and could expose your network to risk. I wouldn't recommend even trying it, given XP's lack of support for over a decade now.
Exactly! Stick to supported systems and save yourself the headache.

Totally agree! It's a risky move, and who knows how long those settings will even be reversible.
