How can I access a hard drive that’s showing as busy on Ubuntu?

I'm having trouble accessing my internal hard drive on Ubuntu. Every time I try, I get an error saying it's either already mounted or the mount point is busy. I've tried to mount it manually, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Is this hard drive internal or is it a USB drive? If it's internal, can you tell me how you were attempting to mount it? Did you change anything in the /etc/fstab file, or maybe use the Disks utility? Sometimes, just trying to double-click it in the file explorer can work too!

If you're getting that busy error, it can mean something's holding onto it. Have you checked if any processes might be using it? You can use the 'lsof' command followed by the mount point to see what's going on. Also, try rebooting your system and see if that helps clear the issue!
