I'm in the market for a portable gaming monitor that fits a few specific criteria: I'm hoping for a resolution around 1440p and a refresh rate in the 120-144Hz range. Ideally, I would like it to be an OLED model with G-Sync, but the most important feature for me is the ability to connect wirelessly. I understand that this might result in a drop in quality to something like 1080p at 60fps, which I'm okay with. My goal is to have a portable monitor primarily for gaming but also capable of switching to wireless mode for watching movies or similar uses. I couldn't find any wireless Thunderbolt connectors, like the wireless HDMI options, so I'm starting to think they might not exist. Since I'm not super knowledgeable about portable monitors and their capabilities, I figured it was worth asking if something like this is out there. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Wireless displays do exist! I know of a couple that can connect wirelessly without too much hassle. Keep in mind that while the quality may drop when using wireless, they still serve well for movies. You should consider models that offer both wired and wireless options for the best of both worlds.
I haven't come across a product that fits your exact description. Have you checked for any existing wireless displays? There are these devices that can cast displays, but they require specific hardware to receive the signal. Often that comes with some lag, which might impact your gaming experience.

Actually, there are wireless portable displays! For instance, I found one on Amazon that works with wireless connections. It seems like they use a USB-C dongle along with a built-in receiver similar to wireless peripherals. These could be great for taking along while you travel.
