How Can I Access Blocked Apps on My PC Without a VPN?

I'm 19 years old and my dad restricts my access to the Wifi and Ethernet on my PC after 9pm. I managed to get around this by using a MAC address changer app, but now I've run into a problem where only Chrome and Steam are blocked, while all my other apps work just fine—even with the MAC address changed. Is there a way to fix this without using a VPN? I'm not very tech-savvy and could really use some help.

Honestly, trying to bypass your dad's restrictions might escalate things, so it's good to think about why they're there in the first place. Finding a way to compromise could end up being more beneficial for both of you.

Hey there! As someone who's both a gamer and a dad, I get where you're coming from. But be careful—trying to bypass restrictions can lead to more issues. If your dad set these rules, there's likely a reason behind it. Maybe consider discussing it with him? If you're tired of those restrictions, you might think about getting your own internet connection someday.

Just a heads up, even with a MAC changer, if your dad has set specific rules based on the IP or the type of apps, those might still block access. It could be more effective to discuss it openly rather than trying to circumvent the system.

Have you thought about just talking it out with your parents? You could suggest that if you had full access, you'd be willing to pitch in for the internet bill. That way you both win!
