How Can I Access My External Hard Drive on My Dell Laptop?

Hi everyone! I need some help with accessing my external hard drive, specifically a WD EasyStore, on my Dell Inspiron laptop. When I plug it in, it appears in the device list as 'Easy Store 2648' and I can eject it, but I can't find any way to access the files on it or add new ones. In my system storage, I only see the local disk (C:) with my folders, but not the hard drive. I've also tried using the program I want to download videos from, but it doesn't show up there either. I've searched YouTube for solutions without much luck, and I feel a bit lost. I've used this hard drive before, but it's been a while since I've connected it to this computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked your Disk Management settings? Just type 'disk management' into the start menu and select 'Create and format hard disk partitions'. Look for your external drive there—if you can see it, let us know what info is displayed. You might need to take a screenshot and share it here as well.

Thanks for the suggestion! I definitely want to save the data on there. I’ll check Disk Management and post a screenshot of what I see shortly!
