Why is my PC taking so long to boot up?

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my PC startup time—it takes about 3-5 minutes to get going. I've noticed that the RGB lights don't turn on until the very end of the startup process, and the motherboard logo is missing during that wait. Once everything finally boots up, my system works without any issues, but I can't figure out why it's taking so long. For context, I'm running Windows from a 500GB m.2 NVMe SSD, a 550W power supply, an RTX 3060 graphics card, and a Ryzen 5 4500 processor on a Gigabyte A520M S2H motherboard. I last updated my motherboard about six months ago.

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode? That might help you figure out if there’s a software issue. It's worth checking to see if the boot time is still as long in that mode.

Clearing the CMOS and updating your BIOS could help. Sometimes these tweaks can fix unexpected slowdowns during startup.

Make sure to check the health of your NVMe SSD using a program like CrystalDiskInfo. Also, consider how full the SSD is—if it’s almost full, that can really slow things down as well.

It sounds like your PC might be doing RAM training every time it boots, which can be especially common in AMD systems. It's possible that something's changed in your configuration that's affecting the boot time. If it wasn't an issue before, maybe a new RAM module or BIOS setting is causing the delay. Also, check your BIOS settings to see if there's anything unusual after your latest update.

Yeah, but that's odd since it used to start up just fine! I’ve had the same setup for 8 months, and this long startup is new for me too.

My AMD system boots under 30 seconds to the Windows login screen, so something definitely seems off with yours.
