Hi everyone! My family and I have been using this old Western Digital terabyte hard drive for years, but we recently found out that the service we used to download files onto it has been shut down. We're trying to figure out the best way to access the data still stored on it. Someone even offered to transfer everything to another terabyte for a whopping $2,000! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If your hard drive is one of those My Cloud models that only has an Ethernet port, you might be able to take out the drive and connect it directly to your computer after removing the PCB with the Ethernet port. That could solve your problem! Just a thought.

I’ll have to double check. It has a plug in on the outside we’ve tried to use but nothing’s been working.
