I'm running Windows 10 and I've been trying to figure out how to burn a video file onto a DVD so I can play it on a regular DVD player. I already have some experience burning audio onto DVDs, but my attempts to burn video files onto a DVD-R have not been successful. I heard that DVD Flick might be a good authoring software for this purpose. Can anyone guide me through the process?

You could also try searching for 'Windows DVD burning software.' This might bring up some options that could be helpful for your needs.
You can find some great tutorials on YouTube for using DVD Flick! Just search for 'DVD Flick tutorial' and you'll see plenty of step-by-step guides to help you out.
Burning a 'movie' DVD is a bit different from just creating a data DVD. If you want the DVD to auto-play in a player, you definitely need authoring software like DVD Flick. Just make sure your DVD player is compatible with the type of DVD you're using since there are + and - formats. DVD Flick is free, so it's worth giving a shot.
So I just need to load my video file into DVD Flick and burn it? That will make it playable?
Actually, since Windows 7, you can use Windows Media Player to burn DVDs without any extra software. Just check that you select the right options for a movie DVD, not just a data burn.
Wait, are you saying I can do this with Windows Media Player? How?

Many thanks for the tip!
