Is my RAM compatible with an AM5 build?

I recently scored a great deal on some used RAM from Facebook Marketplace—it's a G.Skill Ripjaws S5 Series, 64GB DDR5 5600 with an Intel XMP 3.0 BIOS Profile. I'm planning to build an AMD system with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and an Asus B650E motherboard, but now I'm worried about compatibility. If this RAM isn't going to work with my setup, should I switch to an Intel build instead or just sell the RAM and look for something else?

Your RAM should work without any issues! AMD motherboards can typically read Intel's XMP profiles.

Thanks for the reassurance! Since I have CL36 5600MHz RAM, would upgrading to CL30 6000MHz RAM actually make a significant difference in performance in the future?

You should be good to go with that RAM. Just make sure to check for any BIOS updates for your motherboard to optimize compatibility.

Thanks! Since I have CL36 5600MHz RAM, do you think moving to CL30 6000MHz RAM would provide a noticeable performance upgrade?
