I'm looking to set up a password-protected folder on a flash drive to keep some sensitive files safe, like images of our passports. I'll be taking this flash drive with me on holiday, and I want to ensure that if I lose it, the files remain secure and can't be accessed by anyone who finds it. I usually use Windows, so any suggestions that work well on that platform would be great! Thanks in advance!

You’ve got a couple of options here! One idea is to buy a self-encrypting flash drive that automatically protects the files for you. If you don’t want to invest in new hardware, you could create a password-protected ZIP file on your flash drive using file compression software. Just a heads up, though: you might want to use a reliable service to keep your files secure. Also, just a note, you probably meant a flash drive, since ZIP drives aren’t really used anymore!
Is there any way to set up a protected area on a regular flash drive? I want my family to be able to access the files with a simple password if needed, especially if something happens to me.
