I'm using Windows 11 and I'm looking for a way to disable a monitor without having to unplug the display port cable every time. I've already tried disabling the monitor in Device Manager and checking the advanced display settings, but there doesn't seem to be a disconnect option available. Any ideas?

You can try pressing Windows key + P. It gives you options to manage your displays, which might help you disable the monitor without messing with cables.
If you want a quick way, use the dropdown menu in Settings > System > Display and change it to 'Show only on 1' or 'Show only on 2.' It's a straightforward way to manage which monitor is active.
Go to Display Settings by right-clicking on your desktop. There, you'll see your monitors listed. You can change the display settings to show only the monitor you want, either 'Show only on 1' or 'Show only on 2.' This won't unplug it, but it will stop displaying on the one you don't need.
You can also just hit the power button on the monitor to turn it off. It doesn’t disable it in Windows, but the screen will go black. Just keep in mind that the PC still recognizes it's connected.
Another option is to check out some third-party software like 'Control my monitor' or 'Multi Monitor Tool.' These can give you more control over your displays without the hassle.
