I'm really not a fan of the Liquid Glass effect on my iPhone 15 running iOS 26. It looks ugly to me, and I haven't found any guides on how to change or disable it anywhere. It's frustrating that Apple made this a permanent feature instead of something users can adjust based on their preferences. Any advice on how to get rid of it?

Lol, reminds me of Windows Vista! It was okay back then, but now it just feels outdated, doesn’t it?
You might want to try switching to Tinted mode. It helps to tone down the Liquid Glass effect and makes it easier to see. It's probably the best workaround for now!
Yeah, this seems to be the only option out there! You can check out the detailed guide here: [Engadget](https://www.engadget.com/mobile/smartphones/how-to-adjust-the-liquid-glass-effect-in-ios-261-203634681.html)!
I did try that, but honestly, I still can't stand those rounded edges!
I get what you're saying, but I actually think it looks gorgeous! Just give it some time, I'm sure you'll get used to it.
I thought it was going to be an optional feature too! I really wasn’t ready for such a drastic change!
Honestly, it seems like you can't really disable it on iOS 26. It kind of just comes with the territory now. Wish they’d give us more control!
Right? It's so ugly, I don’t get what Apple was thinking with this change.

I hear you! Vista wasn't all that bad in 2006, but with how tech has evolved, it just feels sad now.
