I'm looking for advice on which RTX 5090 graphics card is the quietest in terms of both fan noise and coil whine. If anyone has insights or experiences to share, that would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!

Coil whine can be pretty unpredictable, so it's tough to guarantee that any specific model will be quieter than others. Just keep in mind that it can vary even within the same model.

Yeah, I totally agree. It's often random. I had some coil whine with my Zotac Solid OC that disappeared after a bit, so you never know!

If I were looking for an RTX 5090, I would stick with one of the more affordable models like Gainward, Palit, PNY, or Inno3D. You can end up paying a lot more for a minimal performance increase or a slight drop in noise, which isn’t worth it unless you’ve got money to burn!

For actual noise levels, I've heard the MSI Liquid SOC 5090 is one of the quietest options out there. As for coil whine, it can be a bit random across different cards, but I've found if you wear a headset while gaming, you might not even notice it!

Exactly! I get some coil whine too, but I usually tune it out when I’m focused on the game.

If you're really concerned about coil whine, focus on that first. When you find a card that has little to none, you can always tweak the fan setup if it’s too loud. In this range, they’re all built well enough heat-wise, so that's less of a concern.
