I've been wanting to give Linux a try but I'm a bit scared to completely switch from Windows. Is there a simple way to set up dual booting with Windows 11? I'm also interested in configuring a KDE setup that resembles Windows 95, just for fun! Any advice would be appreciated.

If you want to go with KDE, I recommend using Kubuntu LTS. Don't get too focused on making it look like Windows 95; it might be better to embrace its own style. Also, consider getting a new SSD to install Linux separately—it’ll let you keep both OSs easily accessible!
If you have multiple hard drives, it's straightforward! Just disconnect the drive that has Windows, install Linux on another drive, and then reconnect it. If not, you can still dual boot, but it requires a bit more setup. Good luck!
You could start out by running a distro live from a USB stick to see if it plays nicely with your hardware and everything. I found a trustworthy guide related to dual booting Windows 11 with Linux Mint – it should help you get started!
Running Linux in a virtual machine like Hyper V might be a good middle ground if you're unsure. You could try Mint first; it's user-friendly!
Just a heads up, you don't really dual boot "on" Windows. You actually install both OSs on your hard drive and select which one to boot into when you start your computer. Just thought you should know!

I do have some thumb drives. I've used Ubuntu on a USB stick before, but I've never attempted dual booting on the same device.
