I'm looking for advice on expanding my C: drive on a Windows server. Currently, I have a setup that includes a C: drive (250 GB), a D: drive (100 GB), and 500 GB of unallocated space. The challenge is that I'd like to extend the C: drive into the unallocated space, but there are other drive letters in the way. I've considered using partition managers like DiskGenius or Minitool, but I've also come across suggestions for using bootable partition managers or GParted. Since I didn't set up the partitions originally, I'm hoping to find a safe solution that can help me achieve this without causing issues.

If it's a server, I'd recommend getting a new drive instead. Clone your C: drive to a bigger one and move the D: drive to a suitable size. A couple of TB drives are pretty affordable, and this way, you can avoid potentially breaking anything while trying to move partitions.
You could use GParted Live to rearrange partitions. Just move the 100 GB partition and then extend the C: partition into the unallocated space. And please, make sure to back up your data first!
Is that why I'm having issues with my setup?
