I'm trying to create more space on my OS (C:) drive which currently has only 23.4 GB free out of 926 GB. I've already tried disk cleanup and storage sense, but those only helped a little—I went from 10.6 GB free to 23.4 GB. I'm looking for straightforward ways to clear out some storage. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I hope this question isn't too basic!

If you stream shows or movies, check for any downloaded videos that you might have forgotten about. They can take up a lot of space! For instance, my daughter filled her drive with old vacation downloads that were taking up nearly 100 GB!
A great tool to start with is WinDirStat. It gives you a visual breakdown of what's taking up space on your drive, making it easier to identify large files and folders to clear out.
One of the quickest ways to free up space is to go through your installed applications and uninstall anything you don't use anymore. Also, check your downloads folder and delete files you no longer need.

Absolutely! It's easy to overlook those downloads. Also, if you're running out of space regularly, consider getting an external USB drive to back up and offload some data.
