How Can I Get Spyro Reignited Trilogy Running on Linux Mint?

Hi everyone! I just switched to Linux Mint (Cinnamon) and I'm having a bit of trouble getting Spyro Reignited Trilogy to run. Steam installed Proton, but when I try to launch the game, it seems like it starts up, and then just fails without showing a loading screen. The play button goes to launching and then just returns to 'play'. I'm not sure what additional information I should provide to help troubleshoot this. Any advice would be appreciated!

What GPU are you using? I noticed you mentioned using WineD3D—while it’s an option, you’ll generally get better performance with Vulkan if your GPU supports it.

If your game isn’t loading, it’s a good idea to check out ProtonDB for troubleshooting tips on that specific game. Here’s the link: https://www.protondb.com/app/996580. You could also try changing the launch options in Steam to `PROTON_LOG=1 %command%`. This will create a log file in your home directory that can give you more info on what's going wrong. Also, make sure your hardware supports Vulkan 1.3, as that’s needed for Proton to work properly.

Thanks for the tips! The ProtonDB link helped me sort it out.
