How Can I Install Only Microsoft Access from Office 2021?

I'm looking to upgrade Microsoft Office on some devices, specifically to Office 2021. My goal is to only install Access, but I'm running into issues. I've tried using the Office Deployment Tool and the Office Customization Tool, but I keep getting an error about downloading files, which I assume is because it can't connect to Microsoft's servers. Is there a way to perform an offline installation of just Access, or will I be forced to install all the Office apps? I feel a bit stuck on this, so any advice would be appreciated!

To do an offline install of just Access, first get the full Office 2021 source files downloaded locally with ODT, making sure to set the `SourcePath`. Then, adjust your configuration XML to only include the Access app ID (``). This way, you won’t need to connect to Microsoft's servers during the install process.

You can also use the ODT to download the full Office installation files to a local file share. From there, you can base your settings on the Office Customization Tool (OCT) to specifically include only Access for the installation. But honestly, fixing your connectivity with Microsoft could save you a lot of hassle in the long run!

When using the Office Deployment Tool (ODT), it downloads files to a folder you specify in the XML configuration file. If possible, get one system online to process the download first. Then, you can copy that folder to your offline systems and use the same XML to install Access only. It should work easier that way!

Here’s a link that might help you out: https://www.example.com/how_to_install_standalone_access. Just remember, your machines will need to connect to Microsoft servers to download the required files unless you're hosting them elsewhere. Oh, and keep in mind Office 2021 LTSC is reaching its end of life in October, so it might be worth discussing upgrades with your team soon!
