How can I legally record a voicemail?

I'm trying to record a voicemail for legal purposes, but when I use screen recording on my phone, it doesn't capture any sound. I've looked around for solutions online but haven't found anything that works. Is there a way to save this voicemail so I can use it later?

If the voicemail is already on your phone, you might want to check out the share feature in the Phone app. You should be able to send it to yourself via text or email. Just curious, though, do you really need to do a screen recording, or would that work?

I tried that but it only let me input a phone number. When I sent it to myself, it just generated a new voicemail. I really want a solid copy with the actual audio.

One way to save that voicemail is to play it out loud through your phone's speaker and then use another device to record it. This way, you’ll have an audio file you can keep for legal reasons.
