How Can I Make a 365 Mailbox Publicly Viewable and Searchable?

I'm in a bit of a tough spot here. My CEO wants to make a user's mailbox viewable and searchable by the general public, including people who don't have any kind of account or verification. I realize this sounds like a bad idea, but I've been tasked with figuring out how to do it. Ideally, I'd like to find software or a workflow that might allow for keyword redaction as well. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, if you want to make it as straightforward as possible, maybe consider a bot in an open Discord server that posts the emails there. It sounds absurd, but at least you wouldn’t have to deal with complex software complications!

Wow, what a request! Your best bet might be exporting the mailbox to a file and putting it somewhere public, not live. You could schedule this export and make it available for public browsing. It sounds a bit bulky, but if the CEO is set on this, it’s probably the least crazy route. Just make sure to have the process mapped out by your deadline!

I have to say, this is one of the wildest ideas I’ve heard. Just be careful not to make it too open; think about security implications. Maybe set up a public ticketing system where people can view certain information while still keeping some control over what's visible.

Man, this is a really strange request! I mean, even in the most open transparency situations, there are always restrictions on what's public. You might find tools meant for handling FOIA requests that can search mailboxes and redact info, but that's not the same as making it fully public. And honestly, your boss expecting you to figure this out in just an hour and a half is a bit absurd.

You should double-check if this has to be real-time. If not, definitely go for something like a scheduled export to a flat file. I think this could save you a lot of headache and actually work for what they seem to want.
