How can I reduce eye strain while using my TV?

I've been using a Samsung TV (model UN43M5300AF) for about 7 years, primarily for gaming at night in a dark room. Lately, I've been experiencing significant eye strain, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I've tried various custom settings over the years, but nothing seems to help. Is there anything specific I can do to lessen the strain, or could this just be a sign of getting older?

Have you tried using a blue light filter? It might really help. Also, gaming in a well-lit room can make a big difference. Just having the ceiling light on can reduce your eye strain while you play.

Your age isn’t really that much of a factor for eye strain, especially if you're close to 35. It's more about screen exposure, so make sure your environment is well-lit while gaming. Keep experimenting with those settings too!

First off, it might be a good idea to get your vision checked. Sometimes, it’s just that we need updated glasses, or it could be related to age-related eye fatigue. Additionally, blue light filtering glasses can help reduce eye strain significantly.
