How Can I Safeguard My Family Videos and Photos in a Hurricane-Prone Area?

I'm living in a hurricane-prone area and I'm really concerned about keeping my family's photos and videos safe. I have over 200GB of footage stored on various devices: I've got a few SD cards with mixed content, a 1TB SSD where I can store everything, and a 128GB flash drive that can't hold all of it.

Digital copies include a privately uploaded YouTube channel, my iPhone (which holds about 70GB of photos and videos), photos on the Shutterfly app, and 30GB of footage on the MEGA app. My Gmail, which is critical to me, is protected by two-factor authentication and linked to my YouTube channel.

Currently, all my physical storage is secured in a fireproof and waterproof lockbox upstairs, along with my passwords and backup codes. I have a couple of keys for the lockbox—one on my car keys and another in my desk.

However, I don't have a cloud subscription and I don't have someone I trust to keep an extra copy of everything in case something happens to my house. Any advice?

You really need an offsite backup solution. I used to live in Florida where hurricanes are common, and I’ve seen how devastating it can be when everything in a house is lost. Consider finding a place outside your home to keep a backup of your digital files. For instance, having an external hard drive at a friend's or relative's house could work. Also, investing in a cloud backup is crucial.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely look into offsite options.
