How can I set my mouse DPI in Kubuntu when it feels way too fast?

I just installed Kubuntu 25.10, and I'm having a tough time adjusting my mouse sensitivity. I have a Logitech G203 mouse that has its DPI settings stored on the device itself. Normally, I've had no issues using this mouse across different devices like Windows or Apple. However, in Kubuntu, the mouse feels like it's racing across the screen, as if it's set to 10000 DPI. I've tried tweaking the pointer speed and acceleration settings, but nothing's working. I want to use the DPI that's saved on the mouse without any interference from Linux. How can I configure this?

It's weird that neither Solaar nor Piper are recognizing your mouse. It’s always a good idea to mention your distribution and any hardware specifics when seeking help. That way, others can assist you better. If the mouse is hard coded to 1000 DPI, just let it run at that and adjust Ubuntu's settings accordingly.

Your Logitech G203 definitely supports higher DPI, so it can be tricky if it's not behaving how you expect. Try using a tool called 'g203-led' which allows you to set the DPI and customize your mouse settings directly. You can find it on GitHub and it has a range of commands to control the light sync and DPI settings. Just make sure to follow the usage guide carefully!

Have you checked out Solaar? It's a manager for Logitech devices on Linux, and it might allow you to set the DPI correctly. You can find more about it and installation instructions in the links I shared. Just remember that not all mice may show up, so it might not work in every case.
