How can I set up a 2.4GHz network for my Philips Hue system?

I'm trying to connect my Philips Hue light system, which includes a gradient light strip at the back of my TV, a Philips Hue bridge linked via Ethernet, and a Philips Hue Sync Box. Everything was initially connected fine, but I realized that these devices require a 2.4GHz connection, while my internet is on 5GHz. Unfortunately, my apartment complex's router doesn't allow for switching off the 5GHz band. I'm wondering if it's possible to set up a separate router that connects via Ethernet and only broadcasts a 2.4GHz network so I can connect all my Philips devices to that.

If your apartment has an Ethernet port for internet, you can plug in your own router there. Just set up the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with different SSIDs, and you should be able to connect your Hue system to the 2.4GHz one without any issues.

That's awesome! Do I need to buy any specific router, or will any router do? I'm a bit new to this, so forgive me if it's a silly question. I just need to make sure I can get a 2.4-only router, right?
