I'm looking to list a BYOL (Bring Your Own License) product on the AWS Marketplace, specifically as an AMI (Amazon Machine Image). However, I'm finding the process quite complicated. Is there an easier method to just upload a zip or tar archive of my product instead?

Are you trying to list an AMI or just upload a ZIP file? I'm curious why the ZIP option seems simpler for you. Just so you know, you can post files directly as your listing if you'd prefer that route!
Just to clarify, are you referring to Amazon E-commerce or the AWS Marketplace? If it's AWS Marketplace, they actually facilitate the sale/rental of AMIs for you, handling the distribution, license key installation, and billing for customers.
Yes, I'm aiming to list an AMI, but I'm hitting a wall. It's asking for an instance type after region selection, but there are no types available for my AMI.
Right now, I'm focused on using the AMI but it's been pretty tricky. That's why I'm considering the ZIP alternative.
