How can I stop my browser from automatically translating pages?

I'm having a frustrating issue with Google Chrome constantly translating my wiki pages into Portuguese, despite the fact that I've turned off all the translation settings. I even went ahead and uninstalled the Google Translate app, thinking that might solve it, but the problem persists. This is really annoying because some terms can get quite messed up in translation. Does anyone know how to make Chrome stop doing this?

Honestly, I feel like using terms like 'cancerous' to describe software is pretty off. Like, cancer affects so many people negatively. Let's focus on finding a solution instead! Have you tried clearing your browser cache or checking for any unusual extensions that might be causing this?

That’s fair, I didn’t mean to offend anyone. I can try clearing the cache; maybe that’ll help.

Have you considered switching to a different browser? Sometimes the ones that are loaded with features can cause weird issues. You might find a more straightforward option works better for you.

That’s what I was thinking too! Pretty much every browser has some sort of translation feature nowadays, though.

Ugh, I guess that's true. I really just want it to stop translating!
