I've been using a set of RealTek AC-powered speakers for ages with my old mini PC running Windows 7, and everything worked just fine — no sound when I adjusted the volume on the computer. Now that I've switched to a new mini PC with Windows 11, I hear this annoying sound every time I adjust the volume from the computer instead of using the speaker's volume knob. It gets really loud when I crank up the sound, and it's driving me crazy. Is there any way to turn this off? I've checked the sound settings but can't find anything that addresses this issue.

You can try this quick fix: Press WINDOWS + R to open the Run dialog, type "ms-settings:sound" without quotes, and hit Enter. Then go to More Sound Settings, and under the Sounds tab, find Notification in Program Events. Just change the sound for "Windows Notify System Generic" to "None". Hit Apply and OK. This should help eliminate that annoying sound!
