How Can I Sync Audio with My Bluetooth Headphones?

I'm experiencing a frustrating delay with my Bluetooth headphones. The audio is lagging behind the video by a couple of hundred milliseconds, which makes it hard to enjoy anything like gaming or watching movies. Unfortunately, I can't use the audio jack because it's broken. Is there a way to sync the audio properly so that it plays in real-time?

It sounds like you're wanting to delay the audio to sync it with your video, right? I'd suggest checking out different Bluetooth codecs. Some newer headphones support low-latency options like aptX Low Latency. You can also try switching to a wired headset using USB if your audio jack is broken.

Honestly, Bluetooth can be tricky. If possible, consider a USB Bluetooth adapter that supports low-latency codecs. That might help minimize the lag you're experiencing. Just keep in mind that audio delay can still happen with wireless connections.

To really eliminate the lag, you might need to upgrade your setup. Switching to Bluetooth 5 can help reduce latency, but there might always be a bit of a delay with wireless. A wireless DAC could be a great way to connect a wired headset, giving you both flexibility and lower latency.

One fix might be using a USB Bluetooth transmitter that's designed for low-latency audio. Pair it with headphones that can also handle those codecs. This sometimes yields a better sync between what you see and hear.
