I'm really excited about diving into the Arch Wiki, but I'm unsure where to begin. I want to get a deeper understanding of Linux and have fallen in love with it ever since I tried Linux Mint. My goal is to eventually switch to Arch Linux, but I feel like I need a solid foundation first. Any recommendations on how to start? Do I need any prior knowledge?

Check out the main page of the Arch Wiki and start clicking on the terms and concepts that are new to you. It’s a great way to learn what things mean in context. If you find you’re not getting the hang of it just from reading, you might want to rethink if Arch is the right fit for you.

The best way to really start is to get your hands dirty. Instead of just reading everything straight through, try installing Arch Linux and learn as you go. Whenever you hit a snag, that’s when you should check the Arch Wiki for specific information. It's way more engaging than just reading without any context!

Begin with the installation guide on the Arch Wiki. Familiarize yourself with the basic concepts like partitioning and the base packages needed to set up your system. Just be cautious not to overwhelm yourself with too much information at once. It all makes more sense when you're actively working on it.
