How do I fix the invalid partition table error while booting Ubuntu?

Hey everyone! I just installed Ubuntu on my older Latitude E6430 laptop. However, every time I try to boot, I encounter an 'invalid partition table' message and have to hit enter to proceed. I switched my BIOS settings from Legacy to UEFI, but now I'm getting a message that says there are no bootable devices available and it prompts me to strike F1. I've disabled secure boot, turned off Legacy, and enabled UEFI. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help!

It sounds like you're having a bit of trouble there! I found some steps that could help you out. Since you just installed Ubuntu, it might be easiest to reinstall the OS with UEFI enabled. This could clear up the partition table issue you're facing! You can check out [this Ask Ubuntu thread](https://askubuntu.com/questions/1532686/24-04-fresh-install-invalid-partition-tableat-startup) for guidance.

Tried reinstalling with UEFI turned on, but it's still saying no bootable devices. Should I turn safe mode on or off?
