I'm curious about the methods you use to gather feedback from your developers regarding how automation and guardrails impact their work. What strategies or practices do you find effective in ensuring open communication about these tools?

As a manager on the DevOps team, I have weekly catch-ups with the managers of the development teams. During these meetings, we discuss any blockers and what's achievable. It’s been pretty effective for us! I also encourage engineers to voice their pain points and areas for improvement during different meetings, and I take it seriously enough to include it in their performance reviews.

How many teams/devs do you oversee? We're supporting around 2,000 developers, and there's no way we could keep up through meetings.
