How Fast Can You Build and Release a Website?

I tried to come up with a cool idea for Mother's Day before heading to bed and thought, why not just build her a website? I found a domain that was miraculously available, wrote about 300 lines of code, did some quick styling in a few media queries, and fully hosted it using nginx and Cloudflare—all within 2 hours! Although I ran into around 20 bugs, I still think finishing a website in around 3 hours is pretty impressive. What's the fastest you've all done it?

It really depends on what you mean by "website." A simple one-page site? Sure, a couple of hours. But anything complicated with animations and responsiveness? That could take a few days. I’ve done simple landing pages in under an hour, thanks to templates!

Honestly, that’s impressive! Everyone here seems to have their own milestones, but what you did in 3 hours sounds pretty solid. My friend likes to joke about built sites; he claims to have made a ton while in high school, but I doubt that! 🤣

Yeah, right? I doubt many can match that speed without some serious experience! But hey, kudos for both the quick build and the encouragement!

A weekend is usually my go-to, especially for something fleshed out. The quality matters, right? I once created a full web app in about a day, but again, it wasn't from scratch—just piecing together a lot of pre-existing stuff!

Totally get that! Sometimes, adding new features takes way longer than expected, doesn’t it?

I built a web app for a friend's project in about 3 hours too, though that was a rush job! If I use frameworks, I could probably whip up something basic in less than an hour. It’s all about the prep and tools you have at hand!
