I've been doing some research and I'm really curious about the chances of my Gmail (and other email services) getting hacked. Here's my situation: I'm only logged in on one device, I have a few accounts linked (between 1 and 4), and I use a strong password. However, I don't have two-factor authentication (2FA) set up. I understand that 2FA is important, but I'm weighing my options here. Also, let's exclude any risk of being hacked through clicking on suspicious links or malware—I'm only interested in risks that could happen without those factors. Does this make sense?

You should definitely enable 2FA. It adds an extra layer of security that's really hard to get around. Without it, all your other precautions might not be enough.
I agree! It’s also good to remember that people often avoid 2FA for convenience, but the security trade-off isn't worth it.
