I'm looking to maximize the longevity of my current PC build before needing any upgrades or a complete overhaul. My setup includes a 7800X3D CPU and a B650 motherboard, but since they've been around for over two years, I feel like I'm already at a disadvantage. Should I consider upgrading to a 9800X3D and an 850 motherboard instead? Or would it be better to temporarily opt for a 7600X3D and hold off until the Zen 6 comes out in 2026?

Deciding whether to wait or upgrade is tough! It really depends on how your current system is performing. AM5 X3D CPUs should give you a good run for several years. For instance, I’m holding off on upgrading from my 5800X and 3070 because I don't want to be stuck at the tail end of a cycle. Once AM6 is out, I'm going all in!
Your build can last as long as it meets your needs! The visuals in your games might stay the same for now, but when next-gen titles roll out, like Witcher 4 or Elder Scrolls 6, will you be okay missing out on those advancements? That's something to consider!

I totally get that! I'm still on an i5-4670K with a 2060 and can't wait any longer. Waiting for AM6 seems like a long stretch, like another 2-3 years.
