How Much Can My School’s IT Department Monitor?

I'm a bit worried about my school's IT oversight. Recently, my brother's friend searched for some inappropriate content related to horses and humans on my school Chromebook while we were using my home network. He even used a proxy to hide his tracks, but I noticed that the video title ended up in my search history. Now I'm freaking out because I can't delete that history and I'm unsure how much the school IT department can see or if they'll take any action.

Honestly, they probably have access to a lot more than we think. Your search history might be logged, even if you used a proxy. I'd suggest being careful about what you browse on school devices in the future. And yeah, you might want to talk to your brother's friend about being more responsible.

Do you really think they'll go after him? It feels excessive for just a search.
