How Much Should I Charge for Developing a WordPress Site?

I'm working on a WordPress project using Elementor, and I'm looking for some guidance on pricing. The site has about 10 internal pages plus around 20 team member profile pages. The client has provided the design via Figma and just needs the development done. The site is responsive, looks great on mobile, and includes a custom post loop for the News & Insights page. Each page features animations that fade in when you scroll.

I want to ensure my quote is fair, especially since the client is based in the US but I'm situated in South Africa, so I believe they're expecting a lower rate than a typical US developer would charge. Given all this, what would a US web development company generally charge for this type of project? You could get around $1,500 for the base work, but if the client is demanding, I’d bump it to about $2,500.

Haha, good to know! Thankfully, they seem pretty easy to work with.

I’d say about $5,000 would be a solid ballpark for this. It covers the work and ensures you’re valuing your time appropriately!

Thanks! I appreciate your input!

If you want to stay competitive, a range of **$2,000–$4,000 USD** would be a good idea. That feels like a fair price for a US client, while also being reasonable for your market in South Africa.

Thank you! That's exactly the kind of insight I needed. Do you have an idea of what a small agency in the US might typically charge for this kind of project?
