I'm building a PC for my little cousin at the request of my aunt, who has set a budget between $600 and $800 for this build. We decided to go with an AM5 platform to keep upgrade options open for the future. However, I'm struggling to finalize the components without exceeding the budget, especially since my aunt insists on brand new parts only and doesn't want to buy used components. I'd love to hear your suggestions on how I can optimize this build or where I could potentially cut costs! Here's the current build I've got:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X - $177
- **CPU Cooler**: Vetroo V5 - $27.99
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte B650M GAMING PLUS - $129.99
- **Memory**: Silicon Power Value Gaming 32GB - $85.97
- **Storage**: Klevv CRAS C910 1TB SSD - $60
- **Video Card**: ASRock Challenger D Radeon RX 6600 - $219.97
- **Case**: Montech X5M - $54.90
- **Power Supply**: MSI MAG A650GL - $89.99
Total: $845.81. Is there any way to bring this down to fit the budget?

You might want to look at getting the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F and an RX 6700 XT, as you can find those used on eBay for a better price. You can also save some cash on the CPU cooler and power supply; there are definitely cheaper alternatives that are solid. Plus, if you live near a Micro Center, they often have great bundles for the motherboard, CPU, and RAM for around $400! It could really help bring the overall cost down without sacrificing performance.

I agree, a combo deal at Micro Center could save you a lot. Just be sure to check their current offers!
