I've just started using Linux after inheriting my dad's old PC. He used to have it connected via Ethernet, but now that I brought it home, I need to set it up for Wi-Fi. I'm trying to connect using a D-Link Wi-Fi adapter, but I'm not sure how to get it working since I don't have an Ethernet connection here. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

First, make sure your PC actually has Wi-Fi compatibility. Some desktops don’t come with Wi-Fi cards, especially if it's a stationary model. If it’s a laptop or similar, you should be able to connect easily. Let me know if you're confused about this!

It's a Dell Optiplex! I'm not sure if it has Wi-Fi capabilities. How can I check?
