I'm trying to update my older PC to Windows 11, but I keep running into an issue that says my system is missing TPM 2.0. I've switched my BIOS from LEGACY to UEFI and followed all the necessary steps, but I still can't find anything related to TPM in my BIOS settings. My motherboard is from ASUS, and I've looked online but can't seem to find any relevant features. Is it possible that my PC simply doesn't have a TPM module installed? Given that it's around 6 years old, could that be a factor? I can provide pictures of my BIOS settings if needed.

What CPU are you using? If you have a processor from 2018 or later, there's a good chance it has TPM integrated. If your PC was brand new six years ago, it likely should support it unless it was a budget model that cut corners.
What you're looking for is TPM, not TMP. Check your PC manual for more details. Keep in mind that TPM 2.0 was introduced in 2019, so it's possible your system has an earlier version or might not have it at all. If upgrading to Windows 11 doesn’t work out, you could consider enrolling for extended support for Windows 10 or even switching to a Linux distribution like Linux Mint if you don't rely on Microsoft Office or Adobe products.
I had the same issue with my Ryzen 2600X. The TPM option didn’t show up until I updated my BIOS firmware. After that, I was able to upgrade to Windows 11 without any problems. Make sure to check if your CPU is on the compatibility list for Windows 11 and look up how to update your BIOS firmware; it might help!
