I just built a new gaming PC, and everything seemed to work well at first. However, when I tried to install Windows 11, I ran into some issues. I thought it might help to unplug the USB drive and try installing Windows 10 instead, but now I'm stuck at the login screen that says 'Other User'. Since I'm using a second-hand SSD, I thought it should be empty, but it seems like there's some kind of login issue. Is there a way to reinstall Windows directly from my USB drive even if I'm locked out?

You should try going into the BIOS settings and change the boot order so that your USB drive is prioritized over the SSD. That way, you can boot from the USB and reinstall Windows without needing to log in first.
That’s quite impressive you kept up with all that despite it being a bit of a run-on question.
Just wanted to say it worked like a charm! The PC is finally up and running, thanks!
Another option is to wipe the SSD completely before trying to reinstall Windows. You can use a SecureErase feature that might be available in your motherboard's BIOS. This could fix any leftover data issues that might be causing the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm not entirely sure how to do that if I can’t access the PC. Any tips?

Thanks for the help! I looked into the boot settings, but I’m either completely lost or need a little more time to find it.
