With your existing Docker and CI/CD knowledge, you’re more prepared than you think! Instead of taking courses, jump straight into managing some real infrastructure. Try setting up a VPS, use Terraform or Ansible for your projects, and learn by breaking things and fixing them. That practical experience will earn you more credibility than any online cert.

I don't think DevOps roles will be safer from AI and automation either. The key thing is finding opportunities in your current job. If there are DevOps challenges that are being neglected, offer to tackle them. If not, get a role related to DevOps tasks—something in automation or testing—then gradually take on more responsibilities.
