HP Laptop Ethernet Port Issues

I recently bought three new HP Probooks 450 G11, but I'm running into a frustrating problem: two of them won't connect to the network via the Ethernet port. They can connect to WiFi and work fine with a USB-C network adapter, but when I try to use the built-in Ethernet connection, it just shows as public, and the network connect icon in the system tray only flashes a network cable icon. I've already updated the BIOS and all drivers, but nothing seems to help. I need both laptops ready for two new employees starting Monday. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Have you checked if the cables are okay? Also, consider any possible MAC ACL or RADIUS issues, or whether there might be a DHCP problem like no available pool or the need for a reservation. Sometimes, it could also be an outdated switch that doesn’t negotiate the link properly. Worth looking into!

We’ve tried new cables and confirmed there’s no ACL or RADIUS in play. We're currently investigating DHCP issues, and our switches are only about 4-5 years old, but an upgrade might be necessary. Thanks for the suggestions!

You might want to try using a different brand of switch if you have one handy. Sometimes compatibility issues can arise with certain switches and network ports.
