So, I accidentally clicked on a sketchy download from my boss's email after it got hacked. He didn't let us know until after I had already clicked it and downloaded it onto my phone. Now I'm worried if my device is compromised. I didn't notice anything was off until I tried to open the download, which wouldn't work, so I deleted it right away and ran a scan. Thankfully, the scan came back clean, but I can't shake the anxiety that my files or other accounts on my phone might be at risk. Could there be a keylogger lurking around or something worse?

You might want to run another scan just to be safe. If nothing shows up and you deleted that file, you should be alright. Just keep backing up your data, and keep an eye on your accounts. If you're super worried, getting a tech guy to have a look could give you some peace of mind.
I’d suggest wiping your device for peace of mind. I had a similar scare before, and after opening a questionable file, I got a notification about a security breach. I didn’t fully understand the risk at first, but I wiped everything as a precaution. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your info!
If you actually managed to open the download, then yeah, you might have some problems. But since you said it wouldn't open and you deleted it quickly, that’s a good sign. Just keep an eye on your accounts for any weird activity, and monitor your files too. Don’t forget to check your apps for anything suspicious, just in case. You're likely fine but being cautious is the smart play!
I didn’t open it, just tried and failed. I did a thorough scan with Bitdefender and Malwarebytes, and both came back clean, so I'm hoping I’m in the clear!
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled and maybe talk to a tech. You really eased my mind!
