I accidentally knocked over a can of soda while fixing the connection between my PC and monitor, and about half of it spilled onto my graphics card. I unplugged everything immediately and took apart my PC to dry it out. The inside looks dry aside from a few drops I cleaned up, but I'm really worried about my computer's health, especially since I can't afford a new one right now. Any advice on how to deal with this?

Washing the GPU with distilled water is actually a safe option since it’s non-conductive and can wash away the soda residue. After cleaning, let it dry for at least a full day. Most components can withstand distilled water as long as they're completely dry before powering on!
Your GPU should be fine, especially if it has a backplate. Just leave it a day or two to fully dry out. For any visible residue, gently clean it with rubbing alcohol as it evaporates quickly. I know it's a stressful situation, but computers can usually handle small spills. Just check for any sticky spots and clean carefully.
First thing, grab some rubbing alcohol and clean the graphics card gently. Give it some time to dry—at least a couple of hours, but I’d recommend letting a fan circulate air over it for a few days just to be safe. Don't power anything on while it's still wet, as that could cause instant damage.
You really need to clean anything that came in contact with the soda using high-purity isopropyl alcohol. Ideally, 99% is best. Just drying it won’t cut it because the sugars can lead to corrosion. If the soda got into the GPU, it should be opened and cleaned with alcohol as well. If it’s really bad, it might need an ultrasonic bath to be fully safe.
