Hey everyone! My husband and I are dealing with a strange problem where our room shows it's connected to the internet, but we can't actually access it. Oddly enough, everyone else in the house is connected just fine. To make things even weirder, the modem is right in our room! This issue affects our PC, phones, and Xbox, but as soon as we step into another room, our phones connect without a hitch. We've already reached out to our internet provider, but they're baffled and can only send someone out in two weeks. Oh, and my PC is connected via Ethernet, yet that doesn't work either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Given what you've described, this situation seems almost impossible. Unless there's a prankster with access to your router or maybe... aliens? Just kidding! But seriously, double check all the settings on your modem and see if anything looks off.
It sounds like interference might be the issue. Have you tried adjusting the position of the WiFi antenna or relocating the modem? Sometimes even a slight change can make a difference in connectivity.
It’s also strange that your PC isn’t working with Ethernet. Do you have another modem in use, or is it just the one you mentioned?
Haha, I might have explained things a bit awkwardly! Just to clarify, I’m still trying to improve my English.
